I like my code as clean as I like my web pages, but this wasn’t always the case. My very first web site had a bright purple background and a lime green marquee declaring my love for Skechers sneakers. Thankfully, my knowledge of design principles improved after a few years of practice.
After graduating from DePaul University with a degree in computer science, I spent a short time as the lead web developer at A-Three Services Agency in Northbrook, IL, followed by a 4+ year stint at Accenture as an IT security consultant and web developer. During this time I continued to build a varied client base as a freelance designer, catering primarily to local small business clients. After a short stint as the lead UI designer at Envaulted.com, I’ve gone on to become a User Interface Engineer with ZipRealty.com.
When not designing web sites or living on planes, I bake gluten-free treats and blog about food. I also like typography, comedy, architecture, and music. My last name is Spanish for “good trip” and people never fail to remind me. So I chose my domain name to beat everyone to the punch line
